Default ports for Symantec products with Web-based interfaces

Issue/Introduction

You need to know what port to specify to access the Web-based interface for a Symantec product.

 

Resolution

The following table provides the default ports for the listed Symantec products. The address typed in the Web browser uses the syntax:
http://<servername>:<port>/ or https://<servername>:<port>/

Where the <servername> represent the host name or IP address of the server. The <port number> is the port used by the Symantec product.

The following applications use HTTP:

Symantec Web Security: 8002 http://xxx.xxx.x.x:8002/
Symantec Mail Security for SMTP: 8003 http://xxx.xxx.x.x:8003/
Symantec AntiVirus Scan Engine 4.3: 8004 http://xxx.xxx.x.x:8004/
Symantec SharePoint Connector: 7780 http://xxx.xxx.x.x:7780/
Mail Gear: 8003 http://xxx.xxx.x.x:8003/admin
Symantec Mail Security For Exchange: 8081 http://<servername>:8081/
Brightmail Control Center: 41080 http://localhost:41080/brightmail/
Symantec Brightmail Control Center: 41080 http://localhost:41080/brightmail/

The following applications require HTTPS:
