You want to know if the Intel PDS and Intel File Transfer services are installed with Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange 4.x.

Resolution

Intel PDS and Intel File Transfer services are installed with Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchanges 4.x. These services permit Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange 4.x to interact with the Alert Management System (AMS) of Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition or Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition.

If you are not using AMS, you can safely disable these services.
