Deployment Solution

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to capture an image from newer Dell hardware, imaging fails with an error "RDeploy: Memory Allocation Failed" on the console and in the rdlog file.  On the client machine, the imaging progress bar stays at 0%.

Cause

RDeploy is unable to capture the OEM partition included on newer Dell hardware.

Resolution

In the "Additional Parameters" field in the Capture Disk Image job, put the command "-nooem" to capture the image.  If the OEM partition needs to be kept due to contractual reasons, the redploy will lay the image down and still keep the OEM partition.

If the OEM partition needs to be captured in the image, then Ghost will have to be used.
