Issue/Introduction

Description:

The VOPTIONS file in Teleview is used to enable mixed case password support.

Mixed case password support was added to Teleview r4.4 SP08 via APARs.

Solution:

Verify that 'USE-MIX-CASE-PASSWORD' in the VOPTIONS file is turned ON.

Mixed case passwords in Teleview 4.4 sp08 was introduced with the following PTFs.


 	QO80589 ENHANCEMENT - MIXED CASE PASSWORD SUPPORT FEATURE 	
 	QI80590 MIXED CASE PASSWORD SUPPORT FEATURE ENHANCEMENT 	
 	QI80591 ENHANCEMENT MIXED CASE PASSWORD SUPPORT FEATURE 

Verify that these PTFs are applied. It is also recommended that you read the detailed description that accompanies all the 3 PTFs.
