1) Upgrade to DS6.9 SP3 and use the Create Disk Image task. Using the Create Disk Image task requires that the DAgent be installed on the target system to be captured. The DAgent will properly prepare the system to be imaged. It is also important to note that Microsoft will only support imaging of their operating systems if sysprep is used during the capture process. This is noted in the 6.9 SP3 release notes.
2) By creating a run script task that runs before capturing the image while in windows, this error should be resolved (Only if you are using 6.9 SP1 or SP2).
Place the following script into that run script task.
