Description:
Fixes for issues when Browsing tables in RC/Update; GENCNV1E, GENCNV4E or a 378-18 abend.
Solution:
After RO67720 is applied, the GENCNV1E or GENCNV4E messages may be written to the system console and the TSO user's JES message log. The messages may also appear on the user's TSO session terminal if the TSO profile option WTPMSG is set. In addition the column data may be inaccurate on those columns for which the GENCNV* messages are written.
We recommend applying the following list of PTF's to prevent these errors:
RO68526 -- BROWSE ANY TABLE GENCNV1E OR S0C4 IS POSSIBLE March 19 2014 RO68900 -- GENCNV1E CONVERSION' MESSAGE FOR LONG COLUMN NAME RC/BROWSE April 1 2014 RO69060 -- EXPLODE COMMAND NOT WORKING April 7, 2014 RO69532 -- VARCHAR/INTEGER COLUMN DISPLAY AND GENCNV1E ERRORS ON BROWSE April 23, 2014 RO69534 -- IRX0250E S0C4-17 WHEN INSERT A TIMESTAMP COLUMN April 23, 2014 RO69568 -- INCORRECT TERMINAL CCSID (ZTERMCID) CAUSING GENCNV4E ERROR April 24, 2014 RO69845 -- COLUMNS MISSING DURING BROWSE/EDIT May 2,2014 RO69905 -- EXPLODE FOR UNICODE/ASCII COLUMN DISPLAYS UNREADABLE TEXT May 6, 2014 RO69941 -- INCORRECT DATA PRODUCED FOR EDITED DATE AND TIME VALUES May 7, 2014 RO70364 -- INCORRECT TERMINAL CCSID (ZTERMCID) CAUSING GENCNV1E ERROR May 23, 2014 RO70789 -- SPACE IN COLUMN NAME CAUSING GENCV ERRORS June 10, 2014 RO71360 TIMESTAMP COLUMNS CONTAIN GARBAGE DEFAULT NOT NULL VALUE. If these messages are received and there are no GENCNV messages appearing on the screen, the GENCNV messages may be in the TSO user's JES message log ;
