Error 1606 - Could not access network location INVALID_PATH

When installing the "Altiris Client Task Server" component in the NS 6 console using a install suite such as "Client Management Suite" or "Server Management Suite" the install fails to complete properly. See image below for example.

To attempt to reproduce this error:

Go to "<Installed NS Drive Path\Program Files\Setup Files\Altiris Client Task Server\"

Then try to install : "TaskServerSetup.msi"

Cause

The Altiris Agent is not installed on the server.

Resolution

Install the Altiris Agent on the NS Server prior to attempting the TaskServer Installation.

The "TaskServerSetup.msi" currently needs the agent installed as a prerequisite.
