Issue/Introduction

Jobs with Power Control - Wake Up tasks are not sending out Wake on LAN packets. Jobs will not run until the computer is started manually and the client connects to the server.

Cause

"Send Wake-On-Lan to inactive computers when scheduling" is disabled in the Deployment Server options (control panel applet). There is currently a bug in the engine that disables all Wake on LAN activity from jobs when this option is disabled.

Resolution

Workaround: Right-click on the computer and do a Power control > Wake up live event.

Applies To
Deployment Solution 6.8 and 6.9 SP4
Windows Server* 2003 R2 (Workstations Windows* XP SP2)
