Error 255 during script execution while running Dell jobs

Issue/Introduction

While running any job from the Deployment Solution for Dell product, I receive error 255 during script execution message in the Deployment Solution console for the status.  No a.log is generated.

Cause

There are missing files from the following folder under the eXpress share:

\Bootwiz\platforms\Winpe\x86\BASE\I386\system32

In this case, it was the find.exe file that was missing. It is possible that other files may also be missing. Missing files can be caused by using an older version of the Altiris WinPE installer program. This installer was once sold by Altiris.

Resolution

Put the find.exe file into the correct path:

\Bootwiz\platforms\Winpe\x86\BASE\I386\system32

Rebuild your WinPE boot menu option in PXE.
