'Failed to DispEventAdvise on Client'

Issue/Introduction

Package server installation fails on Windows 2003 R2 servers.  In the error agent log see these errors:

Cause

The Altiris Agent version was 6.0.2352 and the Package Server Agent was 6.0.1493. The Altiris agent is from rollup R3 while the package server agent is the current version.

The Altiris Agent Update policy had not been enabled. 

Resolution

Enabled the Altiris Agent Update Policy allowed the latest version of the Altiris Agent to be pushed out and this resolved the problem.

Applies To
NS 6.0 SP3 R6. The Altiris Agent version was 6.0.2352 and the Package Server Agent was 6.0.1493. The Altiris agent is from rollup R3 while the package server agent is the current version.
