Error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" when clicking on Organizational Types in the Resources tab

Issue/Introduction

When clicking on the Organizational Types folder in the Resources tab, the following error is thrown:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Cause

This can be caused by an incomplete or corrupt installation of the Resource Management component of Notification Server.

Resolution

1. Go to the \Program Files\Altiris\Setup Files\NS\ folder.
2. Right-click on the Altiris_ResourceMgmt.msi file and click Repair.
