'OleDbSchemaGuid is not a supported schema', when opening the configuration page of an Oracle OleDb data source

Issue/Introduction

When opening the configuration page of an Oracle OleDb data source, the following error may be shown:

An error occurred loading page. The Catalogs OleDbSchemaGuid is not a supported schema by the 'MSDAORA.1' provider.

Cause

The page attempts to retrive the list of tables from the Oracle database using the OleDbConnection.GetOleDbSchemaTable method, which is not supported by the Oracle provider.

Resolution

As a workaround, click the Load List button on the page. This will populate the Table Name: dropdown list.
