Stored procedure locks the SQL database "exec dbo.[sp_Inv_AeX_SWD_Execution_Summary_clean]"

Issue/Introduction

The following stored procedure appears to lock the SQL database:

exec dbo.[sp_Inv_AeX_SWD_Execution_Summary_clean] '1c1eeaa9-6d95-424b-acfd-a841148bc42d'

Cause

This procexec dbo.[sp_Inv_AeX_SWD_Execution_Summary_clean] '1c1eeaa9-6d95-424b-acfd-a841148bc42d'  is executed by the standard operation of the NS Dataloader, not as part of a purge process.

The condition occurs when deleting or inserting into the Inv_*_Summary tables, causing deadlocks in the database.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in Rollup 6 (R6) for Notification Server 6.0 SP3. Release notes can be found in article 34317.
