Why is the agent reporting the error, "GET NTLM: Response to server challenge denied, check credentials"?

 Why is the agent reporting the following error?

Resolution

Check the IIS permissions. Start > Run > inetmgr and drill down into Local Computer > Web Sites > Default Web Site > Altiris. Right-click any node under Altiris and go to Properties, click on the Directory Security tab, then Edit. All the nodes under Altiris (for example, Inventory) should not have "Enable anonymous access"; they should have Integrated Windows authentication.

Run IISRESET after the changes.
