VIP Enterprise Gateway show a blank white screen.

VIP Enterprise Gateway Administrator Console shows a blank white screen when accessing the EG URL. This can occur in both Internet Explorer and Firefox.


  • The site may not be trusted by the browser.
  • Something on the network may be attempting to redirect the traffic.
  • A proxy may be changing the URL from HTTP to HTTPS.


If using Edge, in the Internet Properties window, click the Security tab. Select the Trusted sites entry and click the Sites button. Enter the VIP EG address for the trusted website in the Add this website to the zone text field. Click the Add button, then click OK to save the website addition. (note: Internet Explorer is no longer a support browser)

There is also a workaround for disabling SSL by doing the following:

Change the URL (or IP address) from http://localhost:8232/vipegconsole to https://localhost:8232/vipegconsole. Once logged in, either update the bookmark that you are using, or change the console settings.

To change the console settings:

  1. Log in to the VIP Enterprise Gateway Administrator Console using HTTPS.
  2. Select the Settings tab.
  3. Select Console Settings on the left.
  4. Change the selector from HTTPS to HTTP.
