Issue/Introduction

This patch addresses the following issues:

1. When Client Access Server (CAS) component of Microsoft Exchange Server was configured in the proxy mode, the IIS plugin configured in the second factor challenge mode failed to authenticate. 
2. Second factor authentication failed when a large number of requests were received in a short span of time.

Resolution

This patch resolves the issues listed above. Perform the following steps to apply the patch:
 

1. Stop the IIS service.
2. Go to C:\Windows\System32\ and rename or create a backup of the vsradiusclientimpl.dll file.
3. Go to C:\Program Files\Symantec\Module\IIS7 and rename or create a backup of the symc_iis7_plugin.dll file.
4. Unzip the Symantec_IIS_generic_Patch.zip patch file provided with this KB article to a temporary folder.
   1. Copy and paste the unzipped vsradiusclientimpl.dll file at C:\Windows\System32\
   2. Copy and paste the unzipped symc_iis7_plugin.dll file at C:\Program Files\Symantec\ Module\IIS7
5. Start the IIS service.
