Issue/Introduction

Why is the error ''Unable to launch the Remote Agent Installer utility" showing when a non-admin launches Remote Client Installer from a remote 32-bit Deployment Server console?

Resolution

The user and/or group that needs to utilize the Remote Agent Installer will need Read/Execute permissions on the following files in the root of the eXpress share on the Deployment Server:

• rcinstall.exe
• rcinstall_en.dll
• remoteinstall.dll

If Remote Win32 DS Console is installed on Vista machine, you will need either to disable UAC, or run console "As Administrator" for workaround.
