Issue/Introduction

The upgrade of ICDx 1.3.0 to 1.3.1 fails when installing the rabbitmq message broker.

INFO [2019-11-22 08:36:16] Installing RabbitMQ ...
ERROR[2019-11-22 08:36:36] Job for rabbitmq-server.service failed because the control process exited with error code. See "systemctl status rabbitmq-server.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.

ERROR[2019-11-22 08:36:36] RabbitMQ install failed
ERROR[2019-11-22 08:36:36] exit status 1

Cause

The upgrade process removes the original rabbitmq software packages but the package removal leaves the /usr/lib64/erlang directory in place which causes the 1.3.1 installation to fail.

Resolution

This issue is remediated as of ICDx 1.4. Please review the Installation Guide for the latest version of ICDx to review the procedure for ICDx upgrade via installer files.
