Early versions of the malware filtering engine released with Messaging Gateway (SMG) 10.7 did not correctly handle messages which had more than 8K in total combined message header data. The messages were scanned for malware content but not content filtering rules as expected.
The new malware engine in SMG 10.7 did not properly decompose some messages with header blocks that exceeded 8K in total size.
This issue has been addressed for all SMG 10.7 installations with an update to the malware filtering engine included with the normal malware definitions on August 19, 2019.
