Import Local File from ProxySG or Advance Secure Gateway

Issue/Introduction

Need to pull ProxySG or ASG (Advance Secure Gateway) "Local" CPL (Content Policy Language) file from the proxy to evaluate, modify, etc...

Environment

The "Local" CPL file is a separate policy source that is processed separately from the VPM (Visual Policy Manager).

Policy order execution - the order in which policy is executed.

Resolution

• After logging into the Management Center browse to "Configuration>Policy>Visual Policy Manager"
• Create a new CPL Policy by clicking on the "Add Policy" button or edit an existing CPL policy
• On the Editor Tab, click the "Operations>Import>From Device"
• Select Device by clicking on the checkbox next to the desired device that you want to pull the Local File from and click next
• Click "Local Policy" and Click the "Import" button
  • If there is existing CPL code on the policy selected in the second step you will be presented with an option to "Import and Overwrite" or "Cancel"
• Click "Save" on the Editor tab.
