You noticed the following error entry on his NS logs after he upgraded to the latest ITMS release version:

ITMS 8.x

Cause

Known issue. There are client machines and Site Servers that are not up-to-date as far as agent and plugin versions.

Resolution

Make sure your client machines and Site Servers have the upgrade policies turned on and that they are able to upgrade to the respective most up-to-date versions.
