Changing the IP of Interface 0:0 Resulted in Dual IPs Configuration

Issue/Introduction

Content Analysis System (CAS) running versions older than 2.3.5.1 has encountered an issue where its 0:0 interface is utilizing an IP address different than what is specified shown in the GUI configuration.

Resolution

This issue has been identified as bug 256407 "Changing the IP of port 0:0 resulted in dual IP configuration" and it has been marked as fix as in CAS 2.3.5.1 or later.

To workaround:

• through serial connection, enter Setup
• change the 0:0 interface to a new and different IP
• complete setup
• reboot again and through serial connection, enter Setup
• change the 0:0 interface to the intended IP address

To complete resolve the issue:
- upload the 2.3.5.1 image
- perform re-initialization and choose to boot into 2.3.5.1
