Cannot use multi byte characters as "Email Impersonation Control" tag subject under certain condition

Issue/Introduction

If a user tries to use "Tag Subject" action with a string that contains only multi-byte characters as "Subject line text" in "Email Impersonation Control Settings", the operation will fail with the following error.

The subject tag you have entered is not in a valid format. Refer to the Online Help for details.

Symantec is aware of this issue and will update this document when a solution becomes available. It is not necessary to log a support case on this issue. Please subscribe to this article to be notified of any updates.

Workaround is to include at least one single byte character in "Subject line text"
