Issue/Introduction

After upgrading Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) from version 14.2 or 14.2 MP1 to 14.2 RU1, using Web Traffic Redirection (WTR) results in an "You are Not Protected" state when visiting https://test.threatpulse.com or https://pod.threatpulse.com.

Environment

Microsoft Windows

Cause

After migration, the Local Proxy Service is loaded using the previous WTR content build. This causes a component failure because of the mismatched versions.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in Symantec Endpoint Protection 14.3 and above. For information on how to obtain the latest build of Symantec Endpoint Protection, see Download Symantec Enterprise Security software

As a workaround, disabling and re-enabling the WTR feature should reload the appropriate definition content.
