Issue/Introduction

You are attempting to add your SEP license to the Targeted Attack Analytics portion of Symantec Endpoint Detection and Response (SEDR) but it returns a FAILED status

Targeted Attack Analytics service cannot find any customer associations for this license (license.slf) with description SEP

Resolution

  1. Run status_check and make sure you can access all the symantec servers.
  2. Make sure your proxy is in bypass mode for SEDR to connect to all the symantec servers from the status_check.
  3. Export the SEP license directly from the SEPM server and upload that license file to the Targeted Attack Analytics section of SEDR.
    • By default that license is found here C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\Inetpub\license
