Issue/Introduction

Need to apply user and / or group policy rules to Microsoft sites

Environment

Web Security Service

Resolution

To apply user / group based policy rules to Microsoft sites the following conditions need to be met:

1. Ensure SSL Interception is enabled in the portal (Policy > TLS/SSL Interception). 
   
   
   
2. Ensure that Office 365 traffic is being intercepted by SSL interception. (Policy > TLS/SSL Interception > TLS/SSL Interception Policy).
   
    
3. Verify the domain and IP of the site is not in the "destinations" section in the SSL exemptions list.
4.  Verify the IP address or location traffic is originating from is not in the "sources" section in the SSL Exemptions list.
