Issue/Introduction

In Symantec Endpoint Security (SES) and Symantec Endpoint Security Complete (SESC), AutoUpgrade lets you automatically upgrade the Symantec Endpoint Protection client software on Windows machines.

Resolution

To enable Auto Upgrade in the Cloud Console:

  1. Login to ICDM portal
  2. Go to policies tab
  3. Select “Default System policy”
  4. Under the client upgrade setting set "Release Channel" to "Latest Release"

 

Upgrade scheduling and restart settings are also available.

 

Additional Information

Note: As of SEP RU7 release date, the Client upgrade settings are not supported for Linux or Mac in the SES product.
