This article provides a security update for the Windows LiveUpdate (WLU) component for Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange (SMSMSE) and is applicable to version 7.5.6 only.

Environment

 

• Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange (SMSMSE) 7.5.6

Resolution

 

Follow the steps below to apply the security update.

Note:  Performing the following steps will update Windows LiveUpdate to version: 3.3.203.36

1. Download the file “HF_Etrack4251058.zip”.
2. Extract the content of the ZIP file to a location where each SMSMSE implementation has access.  (Network share or Local on each server)
3. On each SMSMSE server, Right-click and "Run as Administrator" LUSETUP.EXE.
