Issue/Introduction

PGP Viewer for Android cannot connect to Encryption Management Server. The connection is blocked by your firewall.

Environment

• Symantec Encryption Management Server 3.3.2 MP13 and above.
• Symantec PGP Viewer for Android 1.0.3 and below.

Cause

PGP Viewer for Android connects to Encryption Management Server using TLS 1.0 but your firewall only permits connections using TLS 1.2.

Resolution

To work around this issue:

• Configure your firewall to permit TLS 1.0
• In Encryption Management Server 3.4.2 MP2 and above, contact Symantec Support in order to enable TLS 1.0.
