DLP Virtual Appliance Licenses suspended due to license server avoidance.

Issue/Introduction

Data Loss Prevention Virtual Appliances must be able to contact the licensing server for validation puposes.

-14403 "license suspended due to license server avoidance"

Cause

This error will occur if the following is detected:

• The Data Loss Prevention appliance cannot access the host validation.es.bluecoat.com on port 443.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, ensure the appliance can access the host validation.es.bluecoat.com either directly or using a proxy. If you're using a ProxySG appliance, please ensure SSL interception is disabled.
