Issue/Introduction

After changing settings on Symantec Protection Engine (SPE) 7.9.2.15 connected to Symantec Protection for Sharepoint Services (SPSS) 6.0.10 scan requests are rejected with error message "Error:400 Bad Request. Reason: Token validation failed : Failed to read product name from License. Please contact your administrator to verify this message."

Resolution

A hotfix has been created to address this issue. Please apply the attached hotfix.

1. Stop the SPE service.
2. Go to SPE install location.
3. Take back up of original files from install location matching with provided files in patch.
4. Replace the above files with hotfix provided file.
5. Ensure the permission to newly copied files are identical to backed-up files.
5. Start the SPE service.
