"Device is encountering low resource condition" (Memory Usage is Very High) on SEDR VM, 8840 or 8880 appliance

Issue/Introduction

When using an SEDR Appliance, the System Health Monitor reports "Device is encountering low resource condition".

Cause

The SEDR 4.1 software has a memory leak in the driver used for network scanning.

Resolution

Optimizations were made in SEDR 4.2.0 for the Management role. If you are using the SEDR 8840, 8880 or VM appliance in All-in-One or Scanner role, please upgrade to SEDR 4.2.1.
