Issue/Introduction

Synapse Log Collector for the SEPM Embedded Database fails to connect to the Embedded Database.

ERROR AWT-EventQueue-0 (LogColConfigUtilities.java:testSybaseDBConnection:471) JZ006: Caught IOException: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect

Cause

The SEPM Embedded Database is configured to listen on a non-default Port.

Resolution

The Synapse Log Collector for the SEPM Embedded Database is hardcoded to use embedded database port 2638. You must use the default port on your SEPM to use this tool.
