Data Loss Prevention Discover (DLP)

The "File Owner" listed in the Discover incident does not match the "Author" or "Last saved by" user that is shown in the File Properties > Details tab.

How is the "File Owner" in the incident determined?

Resolution

The DLP Discover scan pulls the "File Owner" information from the Advanced Security page.

• Open the file properties.
• Open the Security tab.
• Click on the Advanced button on the lower right of the Security tab.
• Note the Owner listed near the top of the Advanced Security page.
• That owner should match the File Owner shown in the incident.
