The MoveClient RestApi fails for user-mode clients

Issue/Introduction

When running the MoveClient RestApi command in Symantec Endpoint Protwection 14 to move clients to their respective client groups it fails on user-mode clients.

 

Duplicate hardware key found

Cause

The MoveClient RestApi doesn't consider clients in user-mode. The issue is caused by multiple user-mode clients shared the same hardware key and the RestApi doesn't accept that situation.

Resolution
