Issue/Introduction

Cannot create package consisting of many large ZIP files.

"Loading" message keeps showing.

Environment

Symantec Management Platform 8.5

Cause

Resource allocation limits in Internet Explorer Javascript engine.

Resolution

The issue can be worked around in one of the following ways.

Option 1. Use Chrome for this package and other package with large amounts of ZIP files.
Since Chrome does not support Silverlight, you can import the package via a legacy view.
All Settings>Notification Server>Console Settings>Software>Software Catalog>Import button.

Option 2. Create an empty folder and add that to the package. After importing the empty folder, copy the package files and folders in.
Run the NS.Package Refresh scheduled task.
