Cannot uninstall Unified Agent version 4.10.6 using the installer after upgrading from the 4.10.3 application

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading Unified Agent (UA) version 4.10.3 to 4.10.6 from within the UA application, it is not possible to uninstall 4.10.6 using the UA installer for version 4.10.6 (i.e. UnifiedAgentInstaller64-4.10.6230466.msi). 

When attempting to uninstall UA version 4.10.6 using the installer, the following error is generated: "Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of this product, use Add/Remove Programs on the Control Panel."

Cause

Windows is treating the installation of UA 4.10.6 from the application and the installation of UA 4.10.6 from the installer as different applications resulting in the error above when attempting to uninstall UA using the installer.   

Resolution

Under these circumstances, uninstallation of UA version 4.10.6 will need to be completed through the Control Panel, using Add/Remove Programs. 

If a token is set, it will be necessary to remove the token prior to uninstalling UA in the Control Panel.
