How to upgrade Integrated Cyber Defense Exchange

Issue/Introduction

• Instructions are needed to upgrade Symantec Integrated Cyber Defense Exchange (ICDx) appliance.
• Does ICDx use apt-get or yum to update?
• Do I have to manually download packages to upgrade ICDx?

Resolution

Large version upgrades can be performed by using the installer, per the Installation guide for the new version of ICDx.

Once ICDx is installed, the repositories needed for security updates are installed to yum/apt. Running the upgrade/update command for the package manager for the installed Linux distribution will obtain security updates for ICDx along with distribution package updates.
