Issue/Introduction

How to create a Detection Check for the C:\User\%UserName% folder.  Is there a wildcard we can use?

Resolution

When creating the Rule, use a Static File Expression.  For the Base Folder pick the option needed.  Options for Users are: App Data, Desktop, etc.

Then in File Path, finish the path to the file.  Using this method Dynamic User Names are not needed in the path.

Example:

Base Folder: AppDataFolder

FIle Path: Local\Microsoft\SomeFile.txt

NOTE: you must make sure to RUN the Software Policy as the Logged in User for this path to work.
