Support for Windows 10/11 IoT with UWF enabled on Endpoint Protection

Issue/Introduction

Installation of Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) 14.x is not supported on Windows 10/11 IoT.

Cause

Windows 10/11 IoT utilizes the Unified Write Filter (UWF) which is not supported by SEP.

Resolution

The Enhanced Write Filter (EWF) and the Unified Write Filter (UWF) are not supported.
If UWF is not enabled and the system meets minimum system requirements SEP can be installed on Windows 10/11 IoT, however it is not supported.

The recommended write filter is the File Based Write Filter (FBWF) installed along with the Registry Filter.
