Issue/Introduction

Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) application is not visible under the list of whitelisted applications in Data Loss Prevention Enforce console (System > Agents > Global Application Monitoring). When you are trying to add a new exception system doesn't allow and a popup message shows an error, "This Binary Name, Internal Name, or Original Filename is already in use. Please enter a unique value."

"This Binary Name, Internal Name, or Original Filename is already in use. Please enter a unique value."

Environment

Data Loss Prevention Enforce console

Resolution

Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) application is hardcoded in the Data Loss Prevention product, there is no need to add it manually into whitelisted applications.
