Machines are getting searched without even finishing to write down the name

Issue/Introduction

Inside the ITMS (IT Management Solution), there is an option to see all machines and also to search for a specific device.

When trying to find a machine, as soon as you start writing the name, the page begins looking for the name being typed. That could cause delays and problems when trying to find a machine.

Environment

ITMS 8.x

Cause

The console comes pre-configured to execute the search as you type the letters in the search field.

Resolution

To change how the search box/process behave, you need to change the "Limit Computer and Software result list" configuration.

It can be found under:

• Settings > Console > ITMS Management Views

 

You need to change the "Search behavior" from "As you type" to "After you press enter."
