Imaging computers that do not have the Ghost agent installed - Initial Deployment method

Initial Deployment is a default job designed to aid in the process of configuring computers that do not yet exist in the Deployment Server Database. Initial Deployment provides the ability to define how computers are initially set up after being identified by Ghost Solution Suite 3.x.


Ghost Solution Suite 3.0 and above


  1. Under jobs Double Click Initial Deployment: The Properties of Initial Deployment dialog appears.

  2. Click the Jobs tab. The Jobs dialog appears

  3. Click NEW button to create a new job or Click Add Existing to select an existing job

  4. If more than 1 job is in the menu a default job can be chosen. From the drop-down Default menu choice: select a job

  5. Click OK to save initial Deployment menu
