Issue/Introduction
A report in the Monitors -> Reports section of the Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange (SMSMSE) console has been in the generating state for a significant period of time and you'd like to know how to remove it.
Resolution
Complete the following steps to remove a report stuck in the generating state:
Close the SMSMSE console.
Navigate to the installation directory for SMSMSE, by default this will be C:\Program Files\Symantec\SMSMSE\<version>\Server
Open the "Reports" directory.
Locate the directory with the name of the report you wish to clear, and delete it.
Restart the SMSMSE console, the report will no longer show in the Monitors -> Reports section of the console.
