Issue/Introduction

The proxy domain state shows as Joined after joining the domain to the proxy and associating the realm with  the relevant authentication. Basically, the state should be Joined and Used if the authentication realm is associated with a policy rule.

Environment

Authentication with windows domain

Resolution

The following workarounds can be used to mitigate the issue

  1.  Check whether this is a cosmetic issue by issuing the below commands. If the output of the following command is "Joined & used", you can ignore this issue.
    • #(config)
    • #(config)security windows-domains
    • #(config windows-domains)view ​
  2. Rejoin the domain to the proxy
  3. Remove and re-configure the domain
  4. Reboot the proxy
