Resolution

This error generally occurs for a fresh installation of SEPM where the SQL Native Client (BCP.exe) is not in the latest version released by Microsoft, or in cases where SQL Native Client got corrupted due to Windows security patches, or outdated.

  • Update the BCP file on the server and try logging in to the SEPM, or uninstall and install again the latest SQL Native Client at SEPM server side.
  • Run the SEPM Wizard, and connect to the remote SQL server.
  • The latest BCP file could be downloaded from the Microsoft website
