Android devices show in the portal that they are at risk and Running OS with high severity vulnerabilities.

Cause

The Android ecosystem is reliant on patch updates from Google, the device vendor, and the service provider. In some cases a device may be on a known vulnerable Android version, but the device vendor and/or service provider may not have made a patch available yet.

Resolution

To avoid alarming end users the device does not provide an alert, but Symantec makes the administrator aware so that poor or slow patching practices can be taken into consideration for future phone fresh cycles.
