DLP enforce console failed to Synchronize with ICT taxonomy

Issue/Introduction

While synchronizing Information Centric Tagging (ICT) taxonomy with Data loss prevention (DLP) enforce console he giving an error message.

In the Enforce console you will find following GUI based error:-

 

 

Localhost logs will provide following detials:-

Cause

Http connection is not configure to synch taxonomy.

Resolution

Requirements for using the ICT Web Service for imports are:

•  A network connectivity on port 80 between the Data Loss Prevention Enforce Server and the Information Centric Tagging server.

The URL syntax is http:// /ICT/Admin-Webservice/Classifications.asmx. 

• The ICT server identified to Windows from the Enforce Server:
• Navigate to %systemdrive%\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\. &  Edit the Windows Hosts file to map the ICT server IP address to its host name, using the tabulated format:
