Symantec Endpoint Detection and Response (SEDR)

The table in the Solution field lists the system requirements for installation of the Symantec Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) on a virtual appliance.

Note 1: These requirements differ based on whether you use SEDR's endpoint activity recorder feature. The endpoint activity recorder can collect data from your endpoints, which is then stored in SEDR's database. As such, SEDR requires more system resources and storage space when the endpoint activity recorder is enabled.

Note 2: To avoid over-commitment of resources, you must reserve the required resources before you start the VMware computer for the first time.
