Issue/Introduction

When trying to uninstall the Symantec Endpoint Encryption Suite from the Apps & features screen, an error is received.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\msiexec.exe

Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.

Environment

Windows Server 2016 Standard - Version 1607 - 64 bit

Resolution

To uninstall the program, perform the following steps:

1. From the Windows Start Menu, open Control Panel.
2. From Control Panel, click on Programs and Features.
3. Find the program "Symantec Endpoint Encryption Suite".
4. Rigth click the program, and click "Uninstall".
